This is another commissioned painting. The buyers had originally wanted to purchase Jack and Coke because Jack and Diet Coke is their favorite drink. However, Jack and Coke had already sold. They approached me to create a similar painting, but with a Diet Coke. I inserted two straws to indicate a diet drink like how waitresses identify diet drinks when serving them. They also wanted the surroundings to match their home finishes. I matched the color of their wall and the white marble countertop of their butler pantry. The study photos were taken at the precise location where the painting was to be hung so that the viewer would see in the jack, reflections of what was indeed behind them.
This painting was a finalist in the 2020 Richeson75 Still Life and Floral International Exhibit.
